New products and features showcased at IBC 2019
Ereca is proud to be present once again at the prestigious IBC tradeshow in Amsterdam, held in the RAI complex from 13-17 September 2019, on booth 11.C49.
You won’t be able to miss us as we’ll have first of all a brand new custom booth… but we will also be announcing two new products:
Topas 4K
The Topas 4K specially designed and shaped to complete perfectly the Panasonic AW-UE150 PTZ 4K camera, allowing to transmit all signals of the camera over fibre with remote powering. Two receivers will be made available: a standalone half rack 1RU enclosure and the CAM Racer basestation unit, which would be particularily interesting for rental houses and production companies who own CAM Racer or looking to get equipped. Check out more on the dedicated product page.
CAM Racer 8K
The CAM Racer 8K which is the first 4x12G dockable transmission solution to cover all types of events while being agnostic to any camera on the market from ENG up to 8K devices.
The CAM Racer range now includes 3 models from the economical Lite version with 1x3G SDI, the standard version with 2x3G with optionnal 2x12G SDI, to the high end 8K version with 4x12G SDI. All CAM Racer includes Remote Powering over SMPTE cable, battery powering, internal audio mixing, management via web interface and more. More on the dedicated product page.
Stage Racer 2 – New Features
The Stage Racer 2 had a very busy year since its release last year. Indeed it was intensively used in some very high profile events as you see in the following news articles.
In meantime, we regularly released new software upgrades to keep improving the product with new processig features but also with many customisations thanks to all useful customer’s feedback.
IBC is the perfect place to show you the latest features we’ve released:
- Support of Ember+ for 3rd party control. We will have a live demo on the booth of the integration with BFE KSC Core automation system controlling our Stage Racer 2 network. VSM support is running in parallel and will work the same way.
- Framebuffering / Framesync on all 3G SDI ports with video phase and audio delays.
- Signal priorities with 5 priority levels available.
- Root machine selection to define which machine will become the master unit of the network.
- Event logging, technical data analysis and more live alarm status.
- Live bandwitdh allocation and signal path in the network.
- ASI Support.
For those who didn’t see the Stage Racer 2 since last year, you can find a recap below of what that single 1RU frame can achieve.

Product Recap
The Stage Racer 2 is a decentralised transmission unit over fiber, supporting any video signals from SD up to 12G, as well as Analog Audio, MADI, AES3, Dante, AES67, Genlock, IP, RS232/422/485, GPIO. It provides routing, distribution, processing (Audio Embedding, De-Embedding, Audio delay, Framesync…), 3rd party control capabilities and future ST2110 compliance.
A compact 1RU frame, with plug’n’play setup managed via an intuitive and efficient web interface to control the entire network.
Only 2 fibers are required to transport up to 40GBs I/O of signals between two units (equivalent of 25 HD signals In and Out) with possibility to go up to 160 GBs I/O. Bigger networks can be created in just a few seconds by connecting more units. Network flexibility allows to mix ring, star, linear or even daisy chain topologies.

Stage Racer 1
The Stage Racer 1 is used for less complex installation requiring instant point to point optical fiber transmission.
The unit is capable of sending multiple uncompressed signals: SDI, Audio, MADI, Genlock, GPIO, Serial, Ethernet… over one duplex fiber or SMPTE connector. Multiple fiber flavors can be used for redundancy.
The Stage Racer 1 is a very versatile product with many hardware options available.
